WARNING: There will be some Indonesian phrases in this blog content, you have been warned.
So, here's the thing, I have a friend who recently got closer with their (I'm not gonna mention a specific gender in order to protect their identity) ex. They chatted through an application called LINE almost every day. They said it was just like how they used to.
We, of course, including me, teases that friend of mine endlessly, saying, "Cieeee, CLBK nih CLBK nih." For your information, CLBK is an Indonesian phrase which actually is an acronym for 'Cinta Lama Bersemi Kembali'. It basically meant getting back with an ex.
But that's not all, this CLBK phrase has another meaning which is a joke. 'Cebok Lama Bersih Kaga'. It basically saying that when you wash after you peed or pooed, you take a long time doing it, but it's not clean. Yes, very dirty and unhygienic. Also very very very (yes, I just put in a reference to Ideal of Idol's song) unhealthy.
From here, I think to myself, those two meanings probably have a correlation between one another other than the same acronym. They are both unhealthy. Why? Because in my opinion, when you got out of a relationship, there must be a reason. And I think even if the other party begged and promised that they've changed, there is no guarantee that the relationship won't end the same.
So, why waste time on something that we already managed to get ourselves out of? I think it is the same as having regrets and taking back what you have decided. If you already decided that they aren't for you, why force it? It will end the same, and going through something ending twice is not a healthy thing.
I believe in Barney Stinson from "How I Met Your Mother", he says that new is always better. Ted has already proof that million times on the show, so you really should follow that principal from the one and only master, Barney. Okay, not really. But I do believe that you have to move on and start something new. The past won't change and stuck in the past is not healthy at all.
That's all.
Bye <3
