Divina commedia is Latin words for divine comedy. This phrase became famous for the tittle of a long narrative, almost like a poem, by an Italian poet, Dante Alighieri. In his masterpiece, "Divina Commedia" talks about a journey in the afterlife. It was divided into Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso, a representative of Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven. This work showed how the medieval era's view of the after-life, created by the Western Church. In a deeper mean, "Divina Commedia" talks about a journey of a man to God, according to the Christian view. It was based mostly on Thomistic Philosophy and the Summa Theologica by Thomas Aquinas.
In my personal view, the phrase itself showed how life actually is. Life is the divines' comedy. Life is like a long and very complicated soap opera. Someone's got to be out there, laughing at how people fool theselves, strive hard to achieve success eventhough it was simply impossible to achieve. How human wants to be divine. Life is such a divine comedy. Life is just a big soap opera. A comedy show. Just like the "Saturday Night Life"show. It's just a comedy to laugh at.
This doesn't mean that you should stop working for your life, not at all. But instead, I'm trying to tell you that you should not regret anything. Life is a big comedy anyway. You shouldn't regret anything, not even for the things you missed. Take risks, either making choices or not making it at all. If you fail, laugh at it. Just the way that someone who's watching going to laugh at you. It's not an embarrassment since every single people out there also made a few themselves. You are not the only one the divines' are laughing at.
So, are you still scared of making choices or even not making any at all? Are you still scared of being laugh at? Then laugh at yourself first, because life is a comedy.
