K-Pop Isn't A Genre, It's A Way Of Life

Anyone who said those words must be a bit too fanatic. I've never said that, of course. K-Pop is just music. A genre of music that I happen to listen to everyday and follow each seconds.

Okay, I know how that looks like. But I swear, it's not as bad as it seems to be. There are days that I feel like I fell out K-Pop as well. Not that it actually happen, of course. But yeah, I'm not a fanatic.

When I have to talk about this topic, I always take so much time to think over and over about it. I'm not the kind of person who can easily talk about themselves, as you may already see from the lack of words I use for things I talk about in this blog than in my stories, if you had seen one. But this topic is just harder, I guess. I have no idea what I'm writing here, obviously.

Well, I fell into K-Pop around five years ago. I refuse to elaborate further on how I fell into it. Let's just say that it's a long story. Anyway, for those of you who have no idea what K-Pop is, it's a music genre, specified for musics coming from South Korea. If you don't know what or where South Korea is, please use "Google", it's there for a reason.

I like a few groups in this genre. For boy group, I like SHINee, Teen Top, Winner, B.A.P, Big Bang, and a few others. I mean, I basically listen to any groups, but some are just not as intense as the others. Same as for girl groups. But I like f(x), Girl's Generation, Sistar, and others.

I recently take a liking for this group. You may or may not have seen a blog post of me going to their concert, but this group is called iKON. Yes, I have a post about me going to their concert. It doesn't say much, so you don't really have to see it. I don't know why I talked about it just then.

Uhm, okay, so, let's move on.

Any information about iKON is available on many, many websites. Even Wikipedia, so please go ahead and take a look. I'm too lazy to tell you, haha.

If you ask me, I would say I fell in love with them after my friend told me about this group. But to be honest, the reason why I became so into this group is because I watched this video.

It was a video of the leader of this group, B.I or Kim Hanbin, performing in this rap survival show, "Show Me The Money 3". He, unfortunately, got eliminated from the show after that performance. Even though that performance is literally the only performance he had done perfectly in the entire show. Yes, I don't understand it either. But anyway, another member of iKON, Bobby, became the winner of the show.

After I saw the video, I traced back to their first survival show (they were in two survival shows, you would know that if you do as I said and Google them) called, "WIN: Who Is Next?" which eventually produced their brother group called Winner and they were lost, obviously. But the reason I fell deeper in love with the group after I watched the entire show is because they were so ******* talented (those stars stand for freakin, by the way). Let me just attached some links of their performance here.

For other performances, please just go ahead and search.

After finishing that show, I continued to watch the other survival show called "Mix and Match". This one is for the making of iKON. This is where their 6 members formation is changed into 7 people formation, adding Chanwoo into the equation. The only things I remember about this show is just how cute they are. Go ahead and look for clips of their moments in this show.

At this stage, they haven't even debuted yet, but I was already super excited and super ready. At last, at 15th of September 2015, they released a song called, "My Type" which topped many charts and won many awards upon it's success. They then went on a world tour, not long after their official debut at this big stadium in Korea. They also made it very big in Japan. Something that is not very easy for Korean groups. They achieved all that before two years after their debut. That is surely something that is very impressive.

THIS IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A POST ABOUT iKON, I swear. I was just talking about the group and got carried away T.T They are just my ultimate at the moment, since I am not very into other groups these days. They are just the only group that can make me feel like crying every time I see their performance. I even want to cry now that I think about it.

Okay, so that's about it. I don't want to actually cry now. I'll talk about other groups that I like next time.

Bye <3

Going Seventeen

Being seventeen is such an accomplishment in my opinion. Being able to stay alive this long. Looking at how many crimes, accidents, and deaths happen each seconds, it was a miracle that I have lived for this long. Surviving so many illnesses and near-death clumsiness. My name is Raras by the way, and I am seventeen. Yes, I am talking about myself. Praising myself about staying alive this far in life. Well, you can't blame me. Being someone who used to get major illness like twice a month, being able to survive this far can be called a miracle, even. Oh, not to mention my near-death experiences like almost falling from some high places and got hit by cars and other vehicles. Is it normal to be this proud of reaching the age seventeen? Okay, probably. And there are many other people who got more things to brag about. Like surviving a terminal illness like cancer, for example. And yeah, I have never experience cancer and hopefully won't get that experience. But as someo...
